Description of Atar

Atar, Zoroastrian fire is sacred in the religion of Zoroastrianism , ne of the oldest religions in the world and the religion of the ancient Persians. Followers of Zoroastrianism worship in fire temples and are often referred to as fire worshipers. In fact, they worship not so much fire as the ideas of purity, warmth, the light of the Gods and enlightenment. Almost all cult rituals are associated with fire. Priests monitor fire’s purity, it should not touch a person, it should constantly burn in temples. They feed it and pray to it at least 5 times a day. The Avesta tells about three temples of fire, which were from the beginning of time and were created by Ahura Mazda himself, but archaeologists never found them.
