Cengel – Hook

Description of Cengel - Hook

The Cengel Hook motif is a symbol intended to ward against bad luck. It is thought to have developed from the conviction that they are the finest defenses against evil eyes. Depending on the design and place of origin of the rug, hook rug themes can differ. Although the motif may have somewhat changed as it was passed down from generation to generation, they still convey the same emotions.
