Description of Nnampo Pa Baanu
Nnampo Pa Baanu is an Adinkra symbol that denotes both friendship and mutual dependence on one another. The emblem depicts two joined hands, each of which is shown holding an ear of corn. The hands are connected at their wrists. Both the hands and the corn represent the concept that people are interconnected with one another and that our survival and well-being are dependent on the survival and well-being of others. Individuals are encouraged to value the relationships they have with one another and to acknowledge the significance of community and cooperation through the use of the symbol.
