Description of The Monkey

The Monkey recognizable by its spiraled tail, this long-limbed geoglyph depicts a New World monkey species. Monkeys were intelligent, socially-adept animals in Nazcan beliefs, symbolizing the value of community and foundational primal wisdom. The spiral tail may imply infinity, or a continuous cycle of learning and spiritual advancement if one follows the correct path through life’s coiled maze. Nazca Monkeys embodied the Nazca’s aspiration for enlightenment, adaptation and cerebral advancement.
